Education Support for Women Embracing a New Chapter

The Women in Transition Award focuses on supporting women who have experienced — or are currently navigating — a later-in-life transition and are seeking support on their journey toward a new and meaningful goal.

Soroptimist of Stuart initiated this award to support women who have recently undergone major life changes, such as divorce or widowhood. Our aim is to assist women in moving forward with confidence through education and the pursuit of their dreams.

This award helps women achieve independence through education — from technical and medical certifications to advanced degrees — preparing them for meaningful and sustainable careers.

Who This Award Is For

The Women in Transition Award is designed for women who are rebuilding their lives and pursuing education as a pathway to stability and independence.

Women who have experienced divorce, widowhood, or other significant life transitions.
Women pursuing certification programs, technical training, or degree pathways.
Women working toward financial independence and meaningful employment.
Women who can demonstrate a clear educational and career plan.
